Job Description

UNC Health Care is looking for an experienced, motivated Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Technician will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence.To be successful in this role, applicants must possess a Pharmacy Technician Certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, and excellent customer service skills. The Pharmacy Technician must also be able to work independently and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient care processes is also required.We are seeking an individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and who is excited to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist pharmacists in the preparation, distribution, and delivery of medications to patients.
  2. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, prescriptions, and other documentation.
  3. Ensure accuracy of medication orders and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  4. Provide customer service to patients regarding their medication orders.
  5. Maintain the pharmacy inventory and ensure stock is adequately replenished.
  6. Provide support to other healthcare staff in the delivery of patient care.
  7. Assist with the reconciliation of medication orders and billing.
  8. Monitor and report any adverse drug reactions to the pharmacist.
  9. Monitor and update patient profiles to ensure accuracy.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training related to the field of pharmacy.
