Inpatient Pharmacy Tech - Oncology

The successful candidate must also possess at least two years of experience working in a pharmacy setting, and possess a valid pharmacy technician license in the state of North Carolina. Responsibilities:

1. Assist pharmacists in providing inpatient oncology services.
2. Receive, verify, and enter prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
3. Prepare medications for dispensing and delivery to patients.
4. Label and dispense medications, including chemotherapy drugs, to patients.
5. Assist with maintaining accurate records of medications dispensed and other related activities.
6. Track and order medications as needed.
7. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy operations.
8. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
9. Demonstrate knowledge of pharmaceutical products and drug interactions.
10. Assist with training and supervising pharmacy technicians and pharmacy aides.
