
Infectious Disease Physician
UNC Health Care is seeking an experienced Infectious Disease Physician to join our team of highly-skilled medical professionals. This position requires an individual who is compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Disease and have a strong background in patient care, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases. The Infectious Disease Physician will work closely with other medical staff to provide the best quality care to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases to patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans, including medication and lifestyle changes, as appropriate.
- Perform comprehensive physical exams, order and interpret laboratory tests, and assess patient response to treatment.
- Document all patient care services in the patient’s medical record.
- Work collaboratively with other medical staff to ensure optimal care for patients.
- Educate patients and families on the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
- Participate in clinical research and initiatives to advance the field of infectious diseases.
- Assess patient progress and modify treatments as necessary.
- Remain up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of infectious diseases.
- Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures of UNC Health Care.
