Imaging Tech Assistant - MRI

UNC Health Care is seeking an experienced Imaging Tech Assistant - MRI to join our team and provide exceptional patient care to our community. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and a track record of success in a similar role. The Imaging Tech Assistant - MRI will be responsible for assisting Radiologists and other medical staff in performing MRI exams and providing patient care.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have a current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent and at least one year of experience performing MRI exams. Responsibilities:

1. Perform MRI exams in accordance with standard protocols and guidelines.
2. Assist radiologists and other medical staff in performing MRI exams.
3. Provide patient care during MRI exams.
4. Maintain accurate records of patient data and imaging results.
5. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during the MRI exams.
6. Evaluate images for quality and accuracy.
7. Operate MRI equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
8. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during MRI exams.
9. Prepare and position patients for MRI exams.
10. Monitor and adjust MRI equipment for optimal performance.
11. Communicate with patients and family members to provide information about MRI procedures.
12. Ensure proper storage and maintenance of MRI equipment.
13. Maintain clean and orderly work area.
14. Adhere to all professional standards and safety protocols.
