Job Description

UNC Health Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Food Service Supervisor to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a professional with an eye for detail and a commitment to providing excellent service to our patients and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the food service department and ensuring that all food service standards are met.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a food service management role. They should also have in-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols and the ability to lead and motivate a team. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the food service department.
  • Ensure that all food service standards are met.
  • Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Lead and motivate a team of food service employees.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Create menus and order supplies as needed.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
