Job Description

We are looking for talented and experienced Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) to join our team at UNC Health Care. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will be responsible for responding to emergency medical situations, providing care to patients, and providing communication between medical personnel. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, a valid EMT certification, and at least two years of experience in an emergency medical setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to emergency medical situations in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Provide care to patients, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
  3. Communicate between medical personnel and relay critical information to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  4. Utilize problem-solving and decision-making skills to assess patients and determine appropriate care.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  6. Follow all protocols and procedures in accordance with UNC Health Care guidelines.
  7. Remain up-to-date with new developments in the field of emergency medical care.
  8. Maintain a valid EMT certification.
  9. Provide support and education to patients and their families.
