
EKG Technician
UNC Health Care is seeking an EKG Technician to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals and provide quality care to our patients. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of experience as an EKG Technician. This position requires excellent multi-tasking skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a positive, personable attitude. Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic EKG tests on patients according to departmental protocols.
- Review EKG results for accuracy and quality control.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document results.
- Assist in the preparation of patient charts and reports.
- Explain the EKG procedure to patients to ensure comfort and safety.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Participate in staff meetings to provide updates on procedures and protocols.
- Interact professionally with colleagues, patients, and their families.
- Remain up to date on new developments in the field of EKG technology.
- Respond promptly to requests from physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals.
