Dietetic Assistant

In this role, you will be responsible for providing patient care related to food and nutrition services. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent knowledge of clinical nutrition care and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: a minimum of an associate degree in dietetics and nutrition, or a related field; a valid North Carolina Food Handlers Certificate; and experience in a healthcare setting. A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license is preferred. You must also be able to demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and a commitment to excellence in customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide patient care related to food and nutrition services.
2. Ensure compliance with established nutrition and food service standards.
3. Maintain accurate records of patient dietary intake.
4. Educate patients and their families about dietary requirements.
5. Monitor food service employees to ensure adherence to sanitation and safety regulations.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of nutrition care plans.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for patients.
8. Ensure the highest standards of customer service are met.
9. Submit reports to the dietitian regarding patient progress.
10. Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and new nutrition developments.
