Job Description

At UNC Health Care, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our well-established team. The Clinical Exercise Physiologist will be responsible for providing personalized exercise prescriptions to patients with chronic health conditions, helping them improve their overall health and well-being. We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of the science of exercise, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals. To be successful in this role, applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field, and be certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as an Exercise Physiologist, Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP). Responsibilities of a Clinical Exercise Physiologist:

• Assess patient health, medical history, lifestyle and fitness goals to create individualized exercise prescriptions

• Monitor patient progress and adjust exercise prescriptions as needed

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

• Educate patients on proper technique and safety measures for physical activity

• Keep up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of exercise science

• Provide guidance to patients on lifestyle modification and healthy eating habits

• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to exercise interventions

• Prepare reports and document patient progress

• Maintain professional and ethical standards of care at all times.
