Job Description

UNC Health Care is seeking a highly motivated Cardiovascular Specialist – Rex Invasive Heart & Vascular to join our team. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide compassionate and professional care to our patients. Our ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases. The Cardiovascular Specialist – Rex Invasive Heart & Vascular should also be an excellent communicator and be able to work well in a team setting.The required qualifications for this position include a Master’s Degree in Cardiovascular Sciences, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification, and 3+ years of experience in an invasive cardiovascular laboratory. Previous experience with patient care and teaching in a cardiovascular laboratory setting is a plus.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and is driven to make a positive impact on our patients' lives. Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases using excellent knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and physiology.
  2. Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure accuracy of documentation.
  4. Provide compassionate and professional care to patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular diseases and treatments.
  6. Participate in team meetings and activities to ensure optimal patient care.
  7. Work closely with other medical professionals in the cardiovascular laboratory setting.
  8. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  10. Stay abreast of current cardiovascular technologies and treatments.

Job Qualifications
  • Board Certification In Cardiovascular Disease

  • Licensure To Practice Medicine In North Carolina

  • Minimum Years Of Experience In Cardiovascular Disease

  • Experience And/Or Training In Interventional And Non-Invasive Advanced Imaging

  • Fellowship Training In Interventional Cardiology/Cardiac Catheterization

  • Experience In Endovascular And Structural Heart Interventions

  • Ability To Interpret And Evaluate
