Cardiac Sonographer

UNC Health Care is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cardiac Sonographer to provide diagnostic imaging services to our patients. You will be working in a team-oriented environment alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of patient care. We are looking for a professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can create a safe and comfortable environment for our patients. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of one year of experience in cardiac sonography and hold an Associate’s degree in an ultrasound-related field. We are also looking for strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as experience with cardiac ultrasound equipment and protocols. Candidates must be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). This is a great opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team!

Responsibilities:

1. Operate cardiac ultrasound equipment to capture cardiac images of patients in order to diagnose cardiac conditions.
2. Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of patient care.
3. Ensure that a safe and comfortable environment is created for patients.
4. Maintain current knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as cardiac ultrasound equipment and protocols.
5. Ensure that patient records are maintained accurately and up-to-date.
6. Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential.
7. Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
8. Maintain certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
