Billing Services Supervisor

The UNC Health Care Billing Services Supervisor is a highly organized and customer service-oriented leader who excels at managing and overseeing the daily operations of the billing services team. The successful candidate will be a self-driven problem solver who is capable of developing and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and improve customer satisfaction.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the billing services/health care industry, with 3 or more years of experience in a supervisory role. They will have a strong knowledge of medical billing software, coding, and reimbursement processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a team are essential. Additionally, the candidate should have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and developing solutions to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise the daily operations of the billing services team.
2. Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and improve customer satisfaction.
3. Monitor and review medical billing software, coding, and reimbursement processes.
4. Provide training and guidance to staff on billing processes and procedures.
5. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all billing processes.
6. Manage and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
7. Analyze and evaluate billing performance and process improvements.
8. Prepare and present billing reports to senior management.
9. Maintain and update billing records.
10. Remain up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes.
