We are currently seeking a Student Success Advisor to join our team and play a crucial role in helping our students thrive. As a Student Success Advisor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students by providing one-on-one guidance and support. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who is driven by a desire to help students succeed.   1. Provide one-on-one guidance and support to students in order to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with students in order to understand their individual needs and provide personalized support.
  3. Serve as a resource for students, providing information and guidance on academic, personal, and career development opportunities and resources.
  4. Collaborate with other university staff and faculty to develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote student success.
  5. Monitor and track student progress and identify students who may be in need of additional support or intervention.
  6. Create and maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
  7. Stay up-to-date on university policies, procedures, and resources in order to provide accurate information and guidance to students.
  8. Utilize effective communication skills to engage and support a diverse student population.
  9. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  10. Act as an advocate for students, helping to ensure they have access to the resources and support they need to succeed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Education, Counseling, Or A Related Field.

  • Previous Experience Working With College Students In An Academic Advising Or Counseling Role.

  • Knowledge Of Umass Amherst Academic Policies, Procedures, And Resources.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport With Students And Collaborate With Faculty And Staff.

  • Understanding Of Diversity And Inclusion Principles, And Experience Supporting A Diverse Student Population.
