  1. Develop and implement public health programs and initiatives that address the needs of the local community.
  2. Collaborate with local health agencies, community organizations, and healthcare providers to identify and address health disparities and promote health equity.
  3. Conduct community health assessments and utilize data to inform program development and evaluation.
  4. Provide direct public health nursing services, including health education, disease prevention and control, and health promotion activities.
  5. Serve as a resource and consultant for healthcare providers, community partners, and the general public on public health issues and best practices.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current trends, research, and evidence-based practices in public health nursing.
  7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines related to public health nursing.
  8. Develop and maintain partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders to support public health initiatives.
  9. Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced public health professionals and nursing students.
  10. Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of public health nursing.
  11. Represent the university and its values in all interactions and activities.
  12. Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts to support public health initiatives.
  13. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of program activities, outcomes, and evaluations.
  14. Adhere to ethical standards and best practices in public health nursing.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  16. Serve as an advocate for public health issues and the university's mission to promote health and well-being in the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution

  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Massachusetts

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Public Health Nursing, Preferably In A Regional Or Community Setting

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Public Health And Nursing Practice

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Community Partners.
