- Develop and implement community health programs and initiatives in collaboration with local organizations and stakeholders.
- Conduct health assessments and identify areas of need in the community.
- Provide direct nursing care and education to individuals and families, including vaccinations, health screenings, and chronic disease management.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and agencies to coordinate and improve patient care.
- Create and maintain partnerships with community leaders and organizations to promote health and wellness.
- Stay updated on current public health trends and research to inform program development and implementation.
- Develop and deliver educational materials and presentations on various health topics to community members.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community health programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in community outreach events and health fairs to promote public health initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between the University and local public health departments to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- Supervise and mentor other nursing professionals and students in the field.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports on program activities and outcomes.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in public health nursing practice.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current, Unrestricted License To Practice As A Registered Nurse In The State Of Massachusetts.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Public Health Nursing, Community Health, Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of And Experience With Program Planning, Implementation, And Evaluation.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Populations And Stakeholders.
