- Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance tasks on campus buildings, including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols while performing electrical work.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
- Assess and diagnose electrical issues and provide solutions to address them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Utilize technical expertise and knowledge of electrical systems to interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to complete electrical projects and repairs.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and equipment inventories.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
- Assist in planning and executing preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems.
- Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and campus staff to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for professional development and stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and departments to complete cross-functional projects.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide quick and effective solutions to urgent electrical issues.
- Represent the university's commitment to excellence and customer service by providing high-quality work and exceptional service to the campus community.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Completion Of A Vocational Or Technical Training Program In Electrical Systems.
Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Or Master Electrician License.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In The Electrical Field.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And National Electrical Codes And Regulations.
