Electrician I

1. Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance tasks on campus buildings, including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
2. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols while performing electrical work.
3. Maintain and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
4. Assess and diagnose electrical issues and provide solutions to address them in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Utilize technical expertise and knowledge of electrical systems to interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
6. Coordinate with other departments and contractors to complete electrical projects and repairs.
7. Keep accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and equipment inventories.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
9. Assist in planning and executing preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems.
10. Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.
11. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and campus staff to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.
12. Continuously seek out opportunities for professional development and stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
13. Collaborate with other tradespeople and departments to complete cross-functional projects.
14. Respond to emergency calls and provide quick and effective solutions to urgent electrical issues.
