This position plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our department and requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks with ease.   1. Greet and welcome visitors, students, and faculty members to the department in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Handle incoming calls and emails and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  3. Maintain and update departmental records, including student and faculty files, financial documents, and other important paperwork.
  4. Organize and schedule appointments, meetings, and events for department staff.
  5. Assist with the preparation and distribution of departmental materials, such as newsletters, reports, and presentations.
  6. Respond to inquiries and requests from students, faculty, and other departments in a timely and efficient manner.
  7. Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring that they are well-stocked and in good working condition.
  8. Collaborate with team members to complete various administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and mail distribution.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency within the department.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service to all individuals interacting with the department.
  12. Keep track of deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
  13. Act as a liaison between the department and other university departments, as well as external partners and organizations.
  14. Attend departmental meetings and take accurate minutes.
  15. Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by department leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clerical Experience, Preferably In A University Or Higher Education Setting.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite And Other Relevant Computer Programs.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills And The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.

  • Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Interact With A Diverse Group Of Individuals.
