Accountant II

1. Perform accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for the university.
2. Utilize accounting knowledge and skills to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
3. Maintain and reconcile various financial records and accounts.
4. Prepare and review journal entries, invoices, and other financial documents.
5. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or potential issues.
6. Collaborate with other departments to gather information and resolve any discrepancies.
7. Conduct research and provide recommendations for improving financial processes and procedures.
8. Communicate financial information and findings to management and other stakeholders.
9. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded and reported accurately and in a timely manner.
10. Stay updated on industry developments and changes in accounting regulations.
11. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
12. Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
13. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in handling financial information.
14. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
