Job Description

At the University of Massachusetts Amherst, we are committed to accelerating the translation of research into real-world impact. To support this mission, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Accelerating Research Translation Training Coordinator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty and researchers to develop and implement training programs aimed at enhancing their skills in translating their research findings into practical applications.   1. Develop and implement training programs to support the translation of research into real-world impact.
  2. Collaborate with faculty and researchers to understand their training needs and develop customized programs.
  3. Organize and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  4. Identify and invite experts in the field to serve as trainers and speakers.
  5. Create and distribute training materials and resources to participants.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Provide support and guidance to faculty and researchers in developing practical applications for their research findings.
  8. Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in research translation and training.
  9. Maintain accurate records of training activities and participant feedback.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and organizations to promote and expand the training program.
  11. Act as a liaison between the university and external partners to identify potential collaborative opportunities.
  12. Assist in the development and management of the training program budget.
  13. Attend conferences and workshops to stay informed about advancements in research translation and training.
  14. Continuously seek feedback from participants to improve the training program.
  15. Uphold the university's mission of accelerating research translation and contribute to its overall success.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Or Biomedical Sciences.

  • Previous Experience In Project Management, Preferably In A Research Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal Grant Funding Processes And Regulations, Specifically Related To Research Translation And Dissemination.

  • Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Researchers, Faculty, And External Partners.

  • Familiarity With Data Analysis And Reporting Tools, As Well As Experience With Program Evaluation And Assessment Methods.
