  1. Develop and oversee academic programs at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, ensuring alignment with the institution's mission and values.
  2. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify and implement new programs, courses, and initiatives to enhance the academic experience.
  3. Manage program budgets and resources, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources to achieve program goals.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance program effectiveness.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as industry partners and alumni, to enrich program offerings and opportunities for students.
  6. Create and implement strategies to attract and retain a diverse student population and promote inclusivity in academic programs.
  7. Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff involved in program development and delivery, including training and professional development opportunities.
  8. Oversee program evaluation and assessment processes to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with accreditation standards.
  9. Collaborate with other departments and offices within the university to facilitate cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary programs.
  10. Represent the university at conferences and events to promote academic programs and stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
  11. Stay up-to-date with higher education policies and regulations to ensure compliance and inform program development.
  12. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, promoting academic excellence and student success.
  13. Manage program marketing and communication efforts to attract and engage prospective students and stakeholders.
  14. Develop and maintain program policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  15. Cultivate and maintain relationships with alumni and industry partners to enhance program resources and opportunities for students.
  16. Conduct regular program reviews and make recommendations for improvement to ensure academic rigor and relevance.
  17. Lead and supervise a team of staff and student employees, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  18. Stay informed of emerging trends and best practices in higher education and program management to inform decision-making and program development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Education, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Academic Program Management Or Relevant Experience In Higher Education.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Academic Policies And Procedures, As Well As Accreditation Standards.

  • Excellent Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Programs And Projects Simultaneously.

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Faculty, Staff, And Students From Diverse Backgrounds.
