  1. Develop and implement information security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive data and systems.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and weaknesses.
  3. Monitor and analyze security logs and reports to identify and respond to security incidents.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the Information Security team to develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends and make recommendations for improving security measures.
  6. Train and educate staff and students on information security best practices.
  7. Conduct security awareness campaigns to promote a culture of security throughout the institution.
  8. Respond to security incidents and provide timely and effective incident response.
  9. Participate in security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
  10. Implement and maintain security controls and tools to protect against cyber attacks.
  11. Work with IT teams to ensure secure network and system configurations.
  12. Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure the security of shared data and systems.
  13. Assist with the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  14. Stay informed about emerging technologies and make recommendations for their use in enhancing security measures.
  15. Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures and incident response activities.
  16. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management to address security concerns and provide updates on security initiatives.
  17. Continuously evaluate and improve the institution's security posture.
  18. Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and integrity.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Information Security, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Proficient Knowledge Of Network And System Security, Including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Vulnerability Management.

  • Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards And Best Practices For Information Security, Such As Iso 27001 And Nist.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders And Handle Security Incidents Effectively.
