- Conduct research and stay updated on patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Manage and maintain the patent prosecution process, including drafting and filing patent applications, responses to office actions, and other related documents.
- Collaborate with inventors, attorneys, and external partners to gather necessary information and documentation for patent applications.
- Review and analyze patent applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate and organized patent records, including tracking deadlines and maintaining patent portfolios.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on patent prosecution and compliance activities.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to patent prosecution and compliance.
- Identify and address potential issues or risks related to patent prosecution and compliance.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between multiple departments and individuals involved in the patent prosecution and compliance process.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on patent laws and compliance procedures.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure that all patent-related documents and activities are in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in meetings and discussions to provide insights and recommendations on patent prosecution and compliance matters.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to patent prosecution and compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patent-related information and documents.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Law, Engineering, Or Science.
At Least Two Years Of Experience In Patent Prosecution And Compliance, Preferably In A University Setting.
Knowledge Of Patent Laws, Regulations, And Procedures, Including The Ability To Interpret And Apply Them Correctly.
Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Patent Applications And Deadlines Simultaneously.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders Including Inventors, Attorneys, And External Partners.
