Welcome to the world-renowned UCLA Stein Eye Institute, where we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of eye care to our patients. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and personable Front Desk Representative to join our team in the Optometry department. This role serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a crucial role in ensuring their experience at our institute is exceptional. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service, have excellent communication skills, and are able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.   1. Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
  2. Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing information and assistance with scheduling appointments, checking in and out, and answering any questions or concerns.
  3. Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times, as the representative of the institute.
  4. Create and maintain patient records and ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  5. Handle all incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member.
  6. Assist patients with insurance and billing inquiries, collecting necessary information and verifying coverage.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, including stocking supplies and managing patient flow.
  9. Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction.
  10. Multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  11. Adhere to all institute policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
  12. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the patient experience at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute.
