- Design and configure network firewalls to provide maximum security for UCLA's network infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain network firewalls to ensure their effectiveness in protecting against potential threats.
- Collaborate with other team members to evaluate and implement new firewall technologies and solutions.
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address any potential security risks.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in network security, and make recommendations for improvements to our network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to network firewalls, and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Work closely with the network engineering team to ensure seamless integration of firewalls with other network components.
- Document all firewall configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Train and educate other team members on proper firewall usage and security protocols.
- Proactively identify potential network security risks and take necessary measures to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure network security compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Communicate with vendors and service providers to resolve any firewall-related issues or concerns.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and troubleshooting.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively to meet deadlines and ensure network security.

Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Network Engineering And Firewall Management.
Strong Understanding Of Networking Protocols, Including Tcp/Ip, Dns, And Dhcp.
Extensive Hands-On Experience With Firewalls, Such As Cisco Asa, Palo Alto, Or Juniper.
Industry Certifications, Such As Ccna, Ccnp, Or Cissp, Are Highly Preferred.
