1. Prepare and serve high-quality food to students, faculty, and staff in a fast-paced dining environment.
2. Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, following all food safety and health regulations.
3. Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of food.
4. Train and supervise junior food service workers to ensure they meet performance standards.
5. Receive and store food shipments, properly rotating and labeling items to maintain freshness.
6. Assist with menu planning and special events, including catering and themed meals.
7. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction.
8. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management to ensure adequate supply of ingredients and supplies.
9. Adhere to budget and cost control measures by minimizing waste and controlling portion sizes.
10. Adhere to all UCLA and dining services policies and procedures.
11. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of food trends, dietary restrictions, and allergens to provide a diverse and accommodating dining experience.
12. Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and productivity in the dining services department.
13. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety protocols and reporting any issues or incidents.
14. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management.
