- Oversee all aspects of food service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of food service staff, including chefs, servers, and kitchen assistants.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the dining experience for students, faculty, and staff.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of food and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events, such as theme nights and holiday celebrations.
- Communicate with customers to address any complaints or concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and manage budgets, including forecasting and controlling costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food service management, and make recommendations for improvements and new initiatives.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote dining services and increase customer engagement.
- Uphold UCLA's values and mission, and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
- Ensure compliance with all university policies and procedures related to human resources, financial management, and operations.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability within the dining services team.
Bachelor's Degree In Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Food Service Management, Preferably In A Large-Scale Operation.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Motivate A Diverse Team.
Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Experience Implementing And Maintaining Food Safety Protocols.
Experience With Budget Management, Cost Control, And Inventory Management.
