  1. Perform data analysis and provide insights to support the university's data-driven initiatives.
  2. Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical analysis methods.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define project requirements.
  4. Manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes.
  5. Communicate project progress and results to stakeholders, including senior management.
  6. Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data.
  7. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in data science.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation for data analysis processes and methodologies.
  9. Train and mentor junior team members in data analysis and project management.
  10. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the team.
  11. Adhere to all data privacy and security protocols and regulations.
  12. Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed.
  13. Represent the university and the data science team in meetings and conferences.
  14. Proactively identify potential risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the university in all tasks and interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Data Scientist And Associate Project Manager At Ucla Should Have The Ability To Collect, Organize, And Analyze Large Sets Of Data To Identify Patterns And Trends. They Should Also Possess Critical Thinking Skills To Solve Complex Problems And Make Data-Driven Decisions.
