BruinBus Transit Operator

1. Operate bus routes according to the established schedule and route to ensure timely transportation for passengers.
2. Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure the safe operation of the bus.
3. Maintain a clean and well-kept bus, including regular cleaning and inspections.
4. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
5. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and dress code.
6. Report any accidents, incidents, or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
7. Keep accurate records of daily activities, including passenger counts, mileage, and fuel consumption.
8. Continuously monitor and report any changes in road or weather conditions that may affect the bus schedule.
9. Assist passengers with special needs, including those with disabilities or strollers.
10. Attend regular training sessions to stay current on safety procedures, route changes, and company policies.
11. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the bus system.
12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing BruinBus and UCLA in a positive manner.
13. Serve as an ambassador for BruinBus, promoting our services and maintaining a positive relationship with the UCLA community.
14. Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergency situations that may arise while operating the bus.
15. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of bus stops and other designated areas.
16. Adhere to all Federal and State regulations related to the operation of commercial vehicles.
