
Basketball Performance Dietitian
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director/ Head Athletic Performance Coach, the Basketball Performance Dietitian will assist in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and management of the performance nutrition services provided to student-athletes representing the Men and Women Basketball teams. Primary responsibilities include: providing team and department educational presentations to enhance the performance of competitive collegiate basketball athletes; one-on-one consultations including performing dietary analysis and creating meal plans; coordinating the performance fueling program; coordinating travel snacks, hydration, and meals; as well as managing the Athletic Fueling Stations in Pauley and Mo Ostin, including budgeting, inventory and distribution.
Registered Dietitian certification
Master's Degree in Nutrition; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge and ability to analyze dietary supplements marketed to athletes, coaches and staff.
Ability to counsel and refer athletes with high-risk behavior.
