Welcome to the exciting world of collegiate sports at UCLA! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Assistant Coach. As an Assistant Coach, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our talented head coach and help guide our student-athletes to success both on and off the field. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, knowledgeable, and committed to the development of our student-athletes. If you have a strong background in coaching and are ready to take on the challenge of working with some of the best student-athletes in the country, we want to hear from you!
- Assist the head coach in developing and implementing training programs for student-athletes.
- Provide coaching and instruction to student-athletes during practice and games.
- Evaluate and analyze game footage to identify areas of improvement for individual players and the team as a whole.
- Foster a positive and supportive team culture by promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.
- Act as a mentor and role model for student-athletes, helping them to develop both on and off the field.
- Collaborate with other coaches and support staff to ensure the overall success of the team.
- Recruit and scout potential student-athletes, both nationally and internationally, to build a strong and diverse team.
- Monitor and track the academic progress of student-athletes, providing support and resources as needed.
- Conduct administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and travel arrangements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in coaching and sports performance.
- Represent the university and the team in a professional manner at all times.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, department meetings, and other relevant events as required.
- Comply with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
- Continuously strive to improve coaching skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.
- Uphold the values and mission of the university and the athletic department.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Kinesiology, Sports Science, Or Physical Education.
Previous Coaching Experience, Preferably At The High School Or Collegiate Level.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work With And Motivate Student-Athletes.
Demonstrated Expertise In A Specific Sport, With A Proven Track Record Of Success In Coaching And Developing Athletes.
