  1. Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures specific to academic departments and units.
  2. Provide guidance and support to academic departments and units on complex HR issues, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and compensation.
  3. Collaborate with department managers and unit leaders to develop recruitment strategies and attract top talent to the academic community.
  4. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and university policies related to human resources.
  5. Conduct data analysis and provide recommendations to improve HR processes and procedures within academic departments and units.
  6. Serve as a liaison between academic departments and central HR departments, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of HR issues.
  7. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and other HR-related documents.
  8. Develop and deliver training programs to educate academic departments and units on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  9. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in academic HR to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  10. Foster a diverse and inclusive academic workforce by promoting equal employment opportunities and providing support for diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  11. Collaborate with other members of the academic HR team to provide comprehensive and consistent support to all academic departments and units.
  12. Participate in special projects and initiatives related to academic HR, as assigned by the HR leadership team.
  13. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.
  14. Proactively identify potential HR issues and provide solutions to mitigate risks within academic departments and units.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment that values teamwork, diversity, and inclusivity.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, Preferably In An Academic Or Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws And Regulations, Particularly In Regards To Academic Personnel Policies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Individuals And Groups.

  • Proficiency In Hris And Other Relevant Technology Platforms, With The Ability To Analyze Data And Generate Reports.
