  1. Conduct independent research projects under the guidance of senior researchers and principal investigators.
  2. Collect, analyze, and interpret data using various scientific techniques and equipment.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to design and implement research protocols.
  4. Prepare and present research findings at conferences, meetings, and other scientific forums.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of research procedures and results.
  6. Assist with writing and editing research reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals.
  7. Train and supervise junior research staff, including interns and volunteers.
  8. Keep up-to-date with current literature and advancements in the field of healthcare and research.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in research.
  10. Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members, collaborators, and external stakeholders.
  12. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of research strategies.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve research methods and procedures.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  15. Adhere to all UCLA Health policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Or Equivalent Experience In A Relevant Scientific Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Biochemistry.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Conducting Independent Research, Including Designing Experiments, Analyzing Data, And Writing Reports.

  • Proficiency In A Variety Of Laboratory Techniques And Procedures, Including Dna/Rna Extraction, Pcr, And Cell Culture.

  • Previous Experience Managing And Supervising Laboratory Staff, Including Training, Scheduling, And Performance Evaluations.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Present Research Findings And Collaborate With Other Team Members And Departments.
