We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a senior member of our speech pathology department, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders for patients of all ages. We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable individual who is passionate about helping individuals improve their communication skills.   1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on evaluation results.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current research and techniques in the field of speech pathology.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding their diagnosis and treatment plan.
  7. Utilize a variety of treatment techniques and modalities to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  8. Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  9. Maintain all necessary certifications and licensure in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  10. Serve as a mentor and resource for other speech pathologists and students.
  11. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
  12. Participate in department meetings and continuing education opportunities.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  14. Follow UCLA Health policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting the mission and values of UCLA Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited Program.

  • Certificate Of Clinical Competence In Speech-Language Pathology (Ccc-Slp) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Speech-Language Pathology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Setting.

  • Current And Valid California State Licensure In Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Supervising And Mentoring Speech-Language Pathology Students And/Or Clinical Fellows.
