
Senior Speech Pathologist, Per Diem

As a senior member of our speech pathology department, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders for patients of all ages. - Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on evaluation results.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and techniques in the field of speech pathology.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding their diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Utilize a variety of treatment techniques and modalities to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain all necessary certifications and licensure in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for other speech pathologists and students.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Participate in department meetings and continuing education opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow UCLA Health policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting the mission and values of UCLA Health.
Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited Program.
Certificate Of Clinical Competence In Speech-Language Pathology (Ccc-Slp) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Speech-Language Pathology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Setting.
Current And Valid California State Licensure In Speech-Language Pathology.
Demonstrated Experience In Supervising And Mentoring Speech-Language Pathology Students And/Or Clinical Fellows.
