- Perform cardiovascular perfusion procedures in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Monitor and maintain cardiopulmonary bypass during surgical procedures.
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment related to perfusion, including heart-lung machines and associated devices.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain perfusion-related records and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
- Train and mentor junior perfusionists and assist in their professional development.
- Stay current with advancements in perfusion techniques and technology.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation and be available to respond to emergency situations.
- Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and educational events.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Perfusion Technology Or Related Field.
Certification As A Certified Clinical Perfusionist (Ccp) By The American Board Of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Abcp).
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Perfusionist, Preferably In A Leadership Or Senior Role.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience With Advanced Perfusion Techniques, Equipment, And Procedures.
Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead A Team And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
