Security Officer

3. Enforce institutional policies and procedures to ensure the protection of patients, staff, and visitors.
4. Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related incidents and report any unusual activity or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
6. Monitor access control systems and ensure only authorized individuals have access to restricted areas.
7. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
8. Collaborate with other members of the security team and other departments to implement and improve security measures.
9. Stay up-to-date with security trends and techniques to enhance the overall safety and security of UCLA Health.
10. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain and improve skills and knowledge related to security protocols and procedures.
11. Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as UCLA Health policies and procedures.
12. Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times, representing UCLA Health with integrity and respect.
13. Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support potential security-related incidents.
14. Follow proper protocols for handling and storing confidential information.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or other designated authority.
