  1. Provide specialized and high-quality care to pediatric oncology patients.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, and provide interventions as needed.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  7. Respond to changes in patients' conditions and report any concerns or complications to the healthcare team.
  8. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  9. Advocate for patients and their families, and address any concerns or needs.
  10. Continuously improve and update knowledge and skills in pediatric oncology nursing.
  11. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  13. Collaborate with community resources to provide additional support and resources to patients and families.
  14. Remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
  15. Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  16. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families.
  17. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in nursing practice.
  18. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
  19. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  20. Act as a role model for nursing staff and students.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of California.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution, With A Focus On Pediatric Care And Oncology.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Oncology Nursing.

  • Certification In Pediatric Oncology Nursing (Cpon) Preferred.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Compassionate Care To Pediatric Patients And Their Families.
