  1. Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations for all research studies within the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.
  2. Conduct thorough reviews of research protocols to ensure they meet ethical and regulatory standards.
  3. Collaborate with researchers and department staff to develop and implement compliance strategies.
  4. Stay up-to-date on changes in regulations and communicate updates to relevant parties.
  5. Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify potential compliance issues.
  6. Provide guidance and training to researchers and staff on compliance requirements.
  7. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to research compliance.
  8. Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and assist in preparing for audits and inspections.
  9. Work closely with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities.
  11. Serve as a resource for researchers and staff on ethical and regulatory questions and concerns.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and institutions to share best practices and ensure consistent compliance standards.
  13. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
  14. Participate in research committees and contribute to the development of compliance-related initiatives.
  15. Actively promote a culture of compliance and ethical research practices within the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Science-Related Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Technology.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Research Compliance, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Research Compliance, Including Hipaa, Irb, And Fda Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Regulatory Requirements And Apply Them To Real-World Situations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Effectively Communicate Compliance Policies And Procedures To Researchers And Staff.
