  1. Oversee and manage the administrative and financial aspects of research programs within UCLA Health.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies related to research, including IRB protocols, grant funding requirements, and ethical standards.
  3. Coordinate and track research project budgets, expenses, and revenue.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with funding agencies, research partners, and internal stakeholders.
  5. Assist with grant proposal submissions, including budget preparation and compliance documentation.
  6. Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of research projects.
  7. Provide guidance and support to research teams on administrative and financial policies and procedures.
  8. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and integrity of research data and financial records.
  9. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to research administration.
  10. Collaborate with other departments within UCLA Health, such as finance and human resources, to ensure efficient and effective management of research programs.
  11. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of research administration.
  12. Train and mentor new research administrators and provide ongoing support and guidance to team members.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive research data and adhere to ethical standards.
  14. Participate in departmental meetings and initiatives to contribute to the overall success of UCLA Health's research programs.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of UCLA Health in all aspects of work and represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or Finance.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Research Administration, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.

  • Familiarity With Federal, State, And Institutional Regulations And Policies Related To Research Administration, Including Irb, Grant Management, And Compliance.

  • Excellent Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Teams And Stakeholders.
