- Oversee the procurement process for pharmaceutical products, including negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand supply needs and ensure timely delivery of medications to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and deliveries.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations related to pharmaceutical procurement and distribution.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for supply chain processes.
- Manage a team of supply chain staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Communicate with pharmacy staff, hospital leadership, and vendors to resolve any supply chain issues or delays.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in pharmaceutical supply chain management.
- Have a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical products, including dosage, storage, and expiration dates.
- Ensure the safe and proper storage and handling of all pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
- Uphold the mission, values, and standards of UCLA Health in all aspects of the job.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Or Business Administration.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Supply Chain Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations And Procedures, Including Drug Purchasing, Inventory Management, And Distribution Processes.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.
Experience With Supply Chain Software And Systems, Such As Sap, Oracle, Or Lawson, And Proficiency In Microsoft Excel.
