- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress.
- Serve as a resource for patients and their families, providing them with information and referrals to support services such as counseling, financial assistance, and support groups.
- Advocate for patients' needs and rights, ensuring they receive quality care and have their concerns addressed.
- Monitor and evaluate patient satisfaction with care and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on new developments and advancements in oncology and radiation therapy to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in continuous education and training to enhance knowledge and skills in patient navigation and oncology.
- Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide patients with additional support and resources.
- Work closely with insurance providers to ensure patients have access to necessary treatment and medications.
- Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to healthcare and patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Radiology, Or Related Healthcare Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Radiation Oncology Or Related Clinical Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Multidisciplinary Healthcare Teams.
Knowledge Of Radiation Therapy Treatment Procedures And Equipment.
Certification As A Patient Navigator Or Willingness To Obtain Certification Within 6 Months Of Employment.
