We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team in the Department of Head & Neck Surgery at our Westwood location on a per diem basis.As a Medical Scribe, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside renowned physicians and assist in documenting patient encounters in real-time. Your role will be crucial in ensuring accurate and timely medical records, as well as supporting our physicians in providing optimal care to our patients.   1. Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters in real-time, including medical history, physical exams, and physician orders.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure medical records are complete and up-to-date.
  3. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  4. Ensure all documentation is in compliance with departmental and institutional policies and procedures.
  5. Act as a liaison between physicians and other healthcare team members to facilitate communication and ensure efficient workflow.
  6. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to accurately transcribe and interpret medical information.
  7. Assist in managing and organizing electronic medical records.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and streamline processes.
  9. Provide support to physicians and other healthcare professionals by anticipating their needs and proactively addressing any issues.
  10. Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
  12. Continuously strive for personal and professional growth by keeping up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
  13. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  14. Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Pre-Medical Studies, Or Healthcare Administration.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience As A Medical Scribe In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Head And Neck Surgery.

  • Proficiency In Medical Terminology And Documentation, With A Strong Understanding Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr) Systems.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Flexibility To Work On A Per Diem Basis, With The Availability To Work Evening And Weekend Shifts As Needed.
