- Process and analyze patient samples in a timely and accurate manner to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Perform various laboratory techniques, including but not limited to cell counting, microscopy, and sample preparation.
- Adhere to all safety and quality control protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Record and organize data and results in laboratory information systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during sample processing.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with new laboratory techniques and technologies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the advancement of research and technology by actively participating in team meetings and discussions.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals by responding to inquiries and providing accurate and timely results.
- Collaborate with other departments within the hospital to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Adhere to all UCLA Health policies and procedures.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy in the laboratory.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt) Or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By A Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agency.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory, Preferably In A Referral Lab Setting.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Quality Control And Quality Assurance.
Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Perform And Interpret Laboratory Tests, As Well As Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues.
