We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Prevention Program Coordinator with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree to join our team at UCLA Health.   1. Develop and implement prevention programs for high school students that address substance abuse and promote mental health.
  2. Collaborate with school staff and community partners to identify the needs of high school students and develop targeted interventions.
  3. Conduct outreach and engage with high school students to increase program participation and promote awareness of mental health and substance abuse issues.
  4. Facilitate group discussions and provide individual counseling to students, utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions.
  5. Maintain accurate and confidential records of program participants and their progress.
  6. Provide ongoing support and follow-up for students to ensure program effectiveness and address any ongoing needs.
  7. Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in the field of prevention and mental health for adolescents.
  8. Develop and deliver training and educational workshops for school staff and community partners on effective prevention strategies.
  9. Monitor program outcomes and evaluate effectiveness through data collection and analysis.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate services and referrals for students in need of additional support.
  11. Represent the organization at community events and meetings to promote awareness of the program and its impact.
  12. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of services.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with students, school staff, and community partners.
  14. Continuously assess and improve program content and delivery to ensure it meets the needs of high school students.
  15. Serve as a resource and advocate for high school students, promoting their overall well-being and success.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Social Work (Msw) From An Accredited University.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Coordinating And Implementing Prevention Programs In A High School Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Adolescent Development, Mental Health Issues, And Substance Abuse Prevention Strategies.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Students, Parents, School Staff, And Community Partners.

  • Experience With Program Evaluation And Data Analysis, As Well As Grant Writing And Management.
