Welcome to UCLA Health! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as the Health, Nutrition & Safe Environments Manager for our EHS Program in Pediatrics. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote and maintain a healthy and safe environment for our pediatric patients. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families. We are looking for someone with a strong background in health and nutrition, as well as a deep understanding of environmental health and safety regulations.   1. Develop and implement strategies to promote and maintain a healthy and safe environment for pediatric patients.
  2. Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential health and safety risks in the pediatric healthcare setting.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.
  4. Conduct trainings and educational programs for staff and caregivers on best practices for maintaining a healthy and safe environment for pediatric patients.
  5. Stay updated on current health and nutrition research and trends to inform decision making and program development.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families on health and nutrition related questions and concerns.
  8. Collaborate with community partners and organizations to promote and advocate for pediatric health and safety.
  9. Keep accurate records and documentation of all health and safety activities and initiatives.
  10. Maintain a strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and ensure compliance within the pediatric healthcare setting.
  11. Participate in meetings and committees related to pediatric health, nutrition, and safety.
  12. Stay informed on new and emerging technologies and strategies for promoting a healthy and safe environment for pediatric patients.
  13. Communicate regularly with leadership and provide updates on the progress and impact of health and safety initiatives.
  14. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the health, nutrition, and safe environments program.
  15. Act as a role model for promoting a healthy and safe environment and encourage others to do the same.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Sciences, Nutrition, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Environmental Health And Safety, Specifically In A Pediatric Setting

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Environmental Health And Safety

  • Experience In Managing And Implementing Nutrition And Safe Environment Protocols And Programs

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Staff, Patients, And Families On Health And Safety Practices.
