
GI Endoscopy Technician III

- Assist with GI endoscopy procedures: The GI Endoscopy Technician III will be responsible for assisting physicians during endoscopy procedures, which may include preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and providing tools and materials to the physician.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment: The technician will be expected to maintain and troubleshoot all endoscopy equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition. This includes performing routine maintenance and cleaning procedures, as well as identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during procedures.
- Provide excellent patient care: The GI Endoscopy Technician III will be responsible for ensuring patients are comfortable and well-informed throughout their endoscopy procedure. This includes preparing patients for the procedure, monitoring their vitals, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Utilize expertise and knowledge: As an experienced GI Endoscopy Technician, the individual in this role will be expected to utilize their expertise and knowledge to assist with complex procedures and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
- Adhere to safety protocols: The technician will be responsible for adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: This role requires collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
- Document and maintain records: The technician will be responsible for accurately documenting procedures and maintaining patient records in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry developments: The GI Endoscopy Technician III will be responsible for staying updated on industry developments and advancements to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
- Mentor and train junior technicians: The individual in this role may be responsible for mentoring and training junior technicians, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

At Least 3 Years Of Experience As A Gi Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Medical Center Setting.
Certification As A Gi Technician (Cgt) Through The Society Of Gastroenterology Nurses And Associates (Sgna).
Thorough Knowledge Of Endoscopic Equipment, Including Proper Set-Up, Operation, And Maintenance.
Demonstrated Ability To Assist With Advanced Gi Procedures, Such As Ercp And Eus.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Staff Members In A Fast-Paced Environment.
