
Disability Management Consultant

- Develop and implement effective disability management programs in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to employees who are managing disabilities in the workplace.
- Collaborate with HR and other relevant departments to ensure compliance with disability laws and regulations.
- Work with employees and their managers to develop reasonable accommodations and return-to-work plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of employees with disabilities, including reviewing medical records and conducting interviews.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee disabilities and accommodations.
- Monitor and track employee progress in managing their disabilities and make necessary adjustments to accommodation plans.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, management, and external disability resources.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in disability laws and regulations and make recommendations for program improvements.
- Provide training and education to employees and managers on disability management best practices.
- Collaborate with insurance providers and legal counsel as needed.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other consultants to ensure consistency and quality in disability management services.
- Support a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting disability awareness and sensitivity.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by superiors.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Management, Occupational Therapy, Or Social Work.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Disability Management, Case Management, Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Disability Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices, Including Ada, Fmla, And Workers' Compensation.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Individuals Of Diverse Backgrounds And Abilities.
Certification In Disability Management, Such As Certified Disability Management Specialist (Cdms) Or Certified Case Manager (Ccm), Preferred.
