- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner, prioritizing urgent issues and communicating effectively with medical staff.
- Keep detailed records of all repairs and maintenance actions, including inventory management and equipment history.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure proper functioning and integration of medical equipment with patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical technology and participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain and improve technical skills.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Act as a resource and provide guidance to other technicians and staff members regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate parties.
- Work with vendors and manufacturers to acquire necessary parts and supplies for equipment repairs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing new processes and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.

Associate's Degree In Biomedical Equipment Technology Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working As A Biomedical Equipment Technician In A Healthcare Setting.
Certification As A Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet) Through The Association For The Advancement Of Medical Instrumentation (Aami) Or Equivalent.
Proficiency In Troubleshooting, Repairing, And Maintaining A Wide Range Of Medical Equipment, Including But Not Limited To Patient Monitors, Infusion Pumps, And Diagnostic Imaging Equipment.
Strong Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Medical Equipment, Including Fda And Joint Commission Standards.
