- Ensure that all medical equipment is strategically placed and integrated seamlessly into the overall design of the healthcare facility.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand the specific needs and requirements of patients and staff in regards to medical equipment.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of equipment plans, including specifications, layouts, and installation plans.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including architects, engineers, healthcare professionals, and vendors, to ensure timely and accurate implementation of equipment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in medical equipment to ensure the most innovative and functional designs are incorporated into the plans.
- Manage and coordinate equipment installation and commissioning processes, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure proper placement and installation of medical equipment, and make necessary adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source and select the most appropriate and cost-effective medical equipment for each project.
- Assist in budget planning and cost estimation for medical equipment in new construction or renovation projects.
- Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards in the design and placement of medical equipment.
- Provide training and support to staff on proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and provide creative solutions to any challenges that may arise during the planning and implementation process.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures related to equipment planning and implementation.

Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Architecture Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Healthcare Facility Planning And Design
Knowledge Of Regulatory Codes And Standards Related To Medical Equipment And Facilities
Proficiency In Autocad Or Other Architectural Design Software
