  3. Maintain equipment and supplies: The technician is responsible for maintaining and stocking necessary medical equipment and supplies in the urgent care facility. This includes ensuring that all equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored.
  4. Follow established protocols and procedures: The technician must adhere to all established protocols and procedures in the urgent care setting. This includes following infection control guidelines, privacy policies, and safety protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant Certification: A Valid Medical Assistant Certification Is Required To Be Considered For This Position At Uchealth. This Demonstrates The Necessary Knowledge And Skills In Patient Care And Medical Procedures.

  • Experience In Urgent Care Setting: Previous Experience Working In An Urgent Care Setting Is Preferred. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Illnesses And Injuries Seen In An Urgent Care Setting, As Well As The Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations.

  • Cpr Certification: All Uchealth Urgent Care Technicians Must Be Certified In Cpr. This Ensures That They Are Prepared To Handle Any Emergency Situations That May Arise While Working With Patients.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For An Urgent Care Technician. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: The Ability To Pay Close Attention To Detail Is Crucial In This Role. Urgent Care Technicians Are Responsible For Accurately Documenting Patient Information, Administering Medications, And Performing Procedures, So Attention To Detail Is Essential To Ensure Patient Safety And Quality Care.
