- Perform ultrasound procedures on patients, following established protocols and ensuring the highest quality of images.
- Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Explain procedures to patients and alleviate any concerns or fears they may have.
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best images and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, and communicate any abnormalities or concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images and reports.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining equipment inventory.
- Take responsibility for the cleanliness and organization of the ultrasound room.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Sonographer In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
